NFL Alumni Association and Covalent Chemical Donate to NewYork-Presbyterian
NFL Alumni Rallies Enterprise Network to Donate Supplies to New York and New Jersey to Stop the Spread of COVID-19
NFL Alumni are teaming up with corporate partners to deliver much needed relief items to New York and New Jersey’s healthcare workers on the front lines.
To fulfill its mission of “Caring for Kids” and giving back to the community, the NFL Alumni Association donates one-hundred percent of net proceeds from enterprise memberships and donations to vulnerable children and communities, and towards taking care of retired NFL players in need. In return, alumni promote and make appearances for enterprise members.
“We’re rallying NFL Alumni supporters because we know their generosity and proven success as innovators can make a huge impact for COVID-19 relief efforts in New York City and nationwide,” said Bart Oates, NFL Alumni Association President and former New York Giant from 1985-1993.
“We have to work as a team, and we’ll get through these difficult and uncertain times together. To everyone in New York, our hearts go out to you – we’ve got your back.”
NFLA and its members are planning an ongoing effort to donate supplies and respond to healthcare workers’ needs as the COVID-19 situation unfolds. Our goal is to distribute truckloads of hand sanitizer and disinfectant to hospitals and nursing homes, while recruiting more enterprise partners to donate supplies and get involved.
Covalent Chemical in Raleigh, North Carolina is a proud supporter of the NFLA and was the first company to make a donation, pledging 880 gallons of Covalent Clean ECOSAFE disinfectant to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. The donation will be delivered next week. (Update: NYP received the donation on April 28th)
“This is really a wonderful offer, and we’re very appreciative. We will put it to good use,” said Laura Forese, M.D., Executive Vice President and COO of NewYork-Presbyterian.
