Ironmind.ai Partners with NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter to Launch Athlete Wellness & Mental Readiness Initiative

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. May 23, 2026 — Ironmind.ai, a mental readiness platform focused on athlete wellness, recovery, and resilience, officially launched its first athlete wellness initiative in partnership with the NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter during the NFL Alumni NorCal Youth Football Camp in Redwood City, California.

The initiative brought together former NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter players, coaches, youth athletes, parents, and community leaders to explore how wearable technology and wellness insights may help support recovery, resilience, fatigue awareness, and overall athlete readiness in live sports environments.

During the opening remarks, NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter leadership emphasized mentorship, discipline, respect, and athlete development, reinforcing that the camp was designed not only to improve athletic skills, but also to support character-building and long-term wellness for young athletes.

“Pay attention to your coaches, respect them, and don’t talk over them, because somebody will become a great athlete by learning and absorbing all of that,” said Dave August, Director of Marketing for the NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter, during the camp kickoff.

NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter leadership also introduced Ironmind.ai CEO, Jonathan Wan, and his senior advisor Terrell Jones, former SF 49ers Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, to speak with athletes and families about confidence, recovery, resilience, wellness, and long-term athlete development.

As part of the initiative, wearable wellness devices were voluntarily used by coaches, retired players, and youth athletes, with parental consent required for all participants under 18 years old.

Beyond the technology itself, the event highlighted the importance of mentorship, confidence-building, and meaningful conversations between generations of athletes.

“One of the most meaningful parts of the event was seeing conversations naturally emerge between retired NFL players, coaches, parents, and youth athletes around recovery, resilience, confidence, and overall wellness,” said Jonathan Wan, CEO and Co-Founder of Ironmind.ai. “Technology became a bridge for connection, mentorship, and education across generations of athletes.”

The initiative also demonstrated strong engagement from NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter leadership, coaches, and families, leading to additional invitations for Ironmind.ai to participate in future youth camps and wellness-focused programs.

Ironmind.ai helps athletes, coaches, and organizations better understand recovery, resilience, fatigue, and overall readiness through wearable technology, wellness insights, secure data integration, and team-level readiness support.

By combining wearable biometrics, wellness, and contextual information, Ironmind.ai supports healthier, more resilient, and better-prepared athletes and teams across youth, collegiate, professional, women’s basketball, and retired sports communities, with future applications beyond sports.

Ironmind.ai is collaborating on wellness and research initiatives with organizations including Stanford and UCSF. The company recently partnered with the NFL Alumni Association Northern California Chapter and was accepted into the NFL Forward Innovation Program to explore future applications of wearable wellness technology within the sports ecosystem.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting youth development, athlete wellness, mentorship, and healthier and more supportive sports environments for future generations.
