Marvin Harrison, who already is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, is one of 16 NFL alumni included in the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame Class announced earlier today.
Harrison was a record-breaking receiver and kick returner at Syracuse from 1992-95. The Colts selected him on the first round of the 1996 Draft. He spent his entire 13-year (1996-2008) career in Indianapolis.
All 16 NFL alums in this new class either were unanimous or consensus First Team All America selections during their college careers. The complete 2026 class, including four outstanding collegiate coaches, is here.
“This is an exciting class of new Hall of Famers,” says NFL alum and National Football Foundation Chairman Archie Manning. “Each of these men ranks among the absolute best to have ever played the game. We look forward to adding their incredible accomplishments to those permanently enshrined in our Hall of Fame in Atlanta.”
Running back Jerry Azumah played his college ball at the University of New Hampshire. He becomes the first player from UNH named to the College Hall of Fame. There now are 328 schools included in the Hall with at least one inductee. Azumah was the Bears fifth round draft choice in 1999. He played seven seasons (1999-2005) in Chicago, including 2003 when he was selected to the Pro Bowl.
“We congratulate our Alumni brothers who were announced today as College Hall of Famers,” says NFL Alumni CEO Brad Edwards. “Many of us were fortunate to play with them either in college or in the NFL. We look forward to seeing them, and congratulating them and their families in person, when they are formally inducted this December in Las Vegas.”
The new class increases the number of college players in the Hall to 1,129. That is less than 0.02 percent of those who played collegiately since Princeton played Rutgers in the first college football game 157 years ago. Quite an achievement!
