Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott Named Player of the Month

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Dec. 2, 2016 — Pro Football Legends, the commercial marketing arm of the NFL Alumni Association, announced Friday that Ezekiel Elliott has been voted Player of the Month for November.

For the month, Elliott rushed for 400 yards on 84 carries averaging almost nine yards per carry. He recorded six rushing touchdowns, the most he has recorded in a month thus far.  In the win at Pittsburgh, he netted his first receiving touchdown of his rookie campaign and logged his fifth game of the season where he rushed for over 100 yards.

On the season, through November, he has posted 243 carries for 1,199 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. Elliott has also been a contributor in the receiving game as well. He has 24 receptions for 303 yards and one touchdown.

More importantly, Elliott and the Cowboys went a perfect 4-0 in the month.

This monthly award shows just how dominant he’s been over the last four games. Elliott captured 47.1% of votes to earn the recognition and is on pace for one of the best seasons ever by a running back — not just for a rookie.
