September Winner: Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes
Coming off an MVP 2018 season Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes picked up right where he left off. The Chiefs start the season 2-0 with ease beating Jacksonville and Oakland. Mahomes threw for 821 passing yards and 7 touchdowns. The Chiefs ran into the red hot Ravens in week 3 but Mahomes and the Chiefs offense came out on top completing 27 passes for 374 yards and 3 touchdowns for a 33-28 win. The Lions gave the Chiefs a bit of a scare in week 4 but Mahomes and the Chiefs found a way as he threw for 315 yards and lead the offense downfield for a game winning drive to cap off a 34-30 victory and keep their record perfect. The Chiefs are in it to win it this year after last seasons disappointing loss to the Patriots in the AFC title game.
