MT. LAUREL, NJ (June 8, 2021) – NFL Alumni is partnering with Sanford Health—one of the largest health systems in the United States—to promote health and wellness among NFL Alumni members and their families.
Through the partnership, Sanford Health will offer services across the care continuum, including preventive services, integrated care delivery, regenerative medicine, and senior care and services through the Good Samaritan Society. The two organizations will also partner on research that will address many of the conditions faced by former and current NFL players as well as other athletes, such as concussions.

NFL Alumni Health, a wholly-owned subsidiary launched by NFLA to expand its efforts to improve the health and wellness of NFL Alumni members, as well as all Americans, is leading this partnership on behalf of NFL Alumni.

Former NFL players suffer from a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative disease, and obesity, and related health conditions. Many of these conditions can be addressed through Sanford Health offerings.
Examples of some of the services made available through the partnership to promote healthy lifestyles include Profile by Sanford, which provides nutrition, activity, and lifestyle coaching to help members lose weight and keep it off. Sanford Health’s Executive Health Program offers complete physical exams, preventive tests, and screenings all in one day, to help members understand their current health, as well as risk factors that may contribute to future health problems.

“Our partnership with Sanford Health is helping us achieve our goals of caring for our own, caring for kids, and caring for the community. Together, we can help our members and their families lead healthier lives.” Beasley Reece, CEO, NFL Alumni

“Our mission is to improve the lives and well-being of the people in our community. Our partnership aligns with the goals of NFL Alumni, and we look forward to supporting their members with their health and health care needs.” Paul Hanson, President and CEO, Sanford Sioux Falls
