NFL Alumni Enhances Partnership with Civil Air Patrol

MOUNT LAUREL, NEW JERSEY (April 15, 2021) – The National Football League Alumni Association (NFLA) and the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) have enhanced their collaboration to work together on their mutual mission to inspire future leaders. Both organizations value and promote leadership and physical fitness as a core emphasis in personal development. CAP has nearly 60,000 members nationwide serving in various capacities as the USAF Auxiliary in support of our nation, including a robust cadet youth development program which involves training America’s future leaders in the areas of STEM, physical fitness, aerospace, character development and leadership.

“We are excited to enhance our partnership with CAP and continue to help shape the future cadets of tomorrow,” said NFLA President Bart Oates. “This partnership aligns directly with our mission of Caring for Kids across the country and will allow our members to interact with those youth who live in their communities.”

This enhanced partnership will jointly develop an NFLA-CAP Leadership and Physical Training (PT) Program to enhance and expand the current CAP PT program through videos, curriculum. The partnership will also Pair NFL Alumni and CAP Alumni (Military, NASA, Corporate Industry) to share their experiences and discuss how hard work, training, fitness and good moral character development transformed their lives.  Both organizations will endeavor to share their critical knowledge base to offer a collaborative program of education and training to help inspire young people to become future leaders.

“Civil Air Patrol is excited about this new partnership as it matches our strengths in developing and presenting leadership and physical fitness programs to benefit the youth of America, helping to build our future leaders in and out of the military,” said Lt Col Andrew Liput CAP National Development Team, Strategic Promotions and Partnerships Coordinator. “We look forward to working together on projects and campaigns to advance the cause of our respective missions, as we forge a common path for the betterment of America’s communities and their young people.”
