A team of NFL Alumni members and staff were in Las Vegas earlier this week for the Annual Nightclub & Bar Convention and Meeting.

Alumni Board Chairman Ron Jaworski was the Keynote Speaker at the event and he also “cut the ribbon” to officially open the show on Tuesday. (See video below.)

NFL Alumni had a popular booth in the exhibit hall and our presence was a tremendous promotion for our organization. As hard as it is to believe, nightclub and bar owners sure do like to discuss football and their favorite retired players.

Jaws was just one member of the NFL Alumni delegation who now also is in the restaurant and food business. Former Falcons-Bengals TE Reggie Kelly, the owner of KYVAN Foods, was a much sought-after figure at the conference as was retired Colts LB Gary Brackett, the founder of the Brackett Restaurant Group. Alumni CEO Elvis Gooden led the small team of Alumni staffers who helped coordinate the publicity and logistics for us.

Proceeds from this annual convention go to the Children Of Restaurant Employees (CORE) Foundation.
