The University of Oklahoma’s WorkSooner Program hosted an exclusive event celebrating the creation of the Oklahoma Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association. The event took place during the Oklahoma Sooners vs. West Virginia Mountaineers game on Saturday, Sep. 25 across the street from the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on the 6th floor of the OU Athletics Building Headington Hall.
The CEO of the national NFL Alumni Association, Beasley Reece, was present on the field for the announcement during pre-game festivities. He was joined by OU Alumni Rickey Brady, the President of the NFL Alumni Association Oklahoma Chapter; Will Shields, a former Kansas City Chief and member of both the College Football Hall of Fame (2011) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2015); Billy Davis, the NFL Alumni Association International Affairs President; and Dr. Martha Banz, Dean of the University of Oklahoma’s College of Professional and Continuing Studies.
