Comfort Keepers®, a leading global provider of quality in-home care for adults who need help with daily tasks. Comfort Keepers’ goal is to enrich the lives of clients as they enable them to maintain the highest possible level of independent living. Comfort Keeper’s custom care plans provide just the right mix of services that preserve clients' independence, maintain their in-home safety, and enhance the quality of their lives. Their care services adapt to clients’ changing needs to meet the health requirements, needs, and wants of those in their care, and can be provided a few hours a week or twenty-four hours a day for long or short-term care. Care packages can include a variety of services: Care Services Companionship Meal preparation Laundry Light housekeeping Incidental transportation Grocery shopping Errand services Live-in services (where available) 24-hour care Respite care or relief for family Personal Care Bathing, grooming, and hygiene Mobility assistance Transferring and positioning Toileting and incontinence care Feeding and special diet Dementia care Medication reminders Comfort Keepers services could be a natural fit for members in the “88” Plan as they routinely work with Alzheimer’s and dementia clients. Comfort Keepers has developed specialized training for its caregivers, referred to as Comfort Keepers®, who care for this client population. Comfort Keepers’ caregivers are screened and trained to provide quality care and engage clients as active participants in their own care. All Comfort Keepers' employees are insured, bonded, and covered by workers' compensation. Members dealing with joint replacement or any other mobility challenges may also find that Comfort Keepers services have a positive impact on their daily lives. As a special for NFLA, Comfort Keepers will offer a 5% discount off the published list price for care and personal care services for NFLA members and their families.
