A Super Bowl of Golf Qualifier

We thank all of the great sponsors and players that have participated in the past and we hope to see you all again on July 11th at TPC Stonebrae in the beautiful Hayward Hills. Food and refreshments will be available before and during our tournament. At the tournament’s end there will be a hosted cocktail reception followed by an exciting auction and an Award Banquet Dinner honoring this year’s NFL Alumni – Northern California Chapter’s Man of the Year. Each foursome will be captained by an NFL Alumni, a current player or a local celebrity. The winning team will go to the NFL Alumni Super Bowl of Golf held at Palm Springs, Mission Hills Resort on September 23rd – 24th.

All proceeds from this event will go to the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter’s Caring for Kids Program. The NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of former professional football players and volunteer associate members guided by our Caring for Kids mission statement. We carry out our mission by actively raising funds for youth oriented charitable causes and engaging in hands on service to foster the development of youth. We are dedicated to work on behalf of youth and youth related programs.

Honoring Person of the Year: Ricky Watters

Ricky was a key member of the 49ers XXIX Super Bowl Championship Team. He scored three touchdowns in the 49-26 victory over the San Diego Chargers, tying a Super Bowl mark shared by fellow 49ers Roger Craig and Jerry Rice. He went on to play for Philadelphia and Seattle in his outstanding 10 year NFL Career witch included 5 Pro Bowl selections. Ricky is currently a motivational speaker for kids who, like himself, are adopted. He is a recording artist and an author. He also was the head football coach for Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida where he shared his football knowledge while mentoring the youth.

Our pledge is to carry on the proud thirty five year tradition of the NFL Alumni – Northern California Chapter, which has given over two million dollars to over 250 different youth organizations and worthy youth-related programs. We annually produce community outreach events which include our annual Red Ribbon Day Drug Prevention Workshops, Holiday Toy Drive and Youth of America Football Camps to name a few.
