|Raymond Clayborn and his family had a double graduation earlier this month when his middle daughter Sydney graduated with a journalism degree from Howard University in Washington D.C. and son, his namesake, Raymond Clayborn, Jr., graduated from St. Pius X high school and accepted a scholarship to play football at Texas Southern University.
The third piece of good news occurred this week when Patriots owner Robert Kraft notified Clayborn, the team’s number one draft choice in 1977 who started 161 straight games during a 13 year Pro Bowl career, that he had been elected to the Patriots Hall of Fame.
“It’s been a busy couple of weeks,” says Clayborn who now lives near Houston,” and the phone call from Mr. Kraft capped it off. We’re all happy about it.”
