Care packages can include a variety of services:
Live-in services (where available)
Respite care or relief for family
Bathing, grooming, and hygiene
Transferring and positioning
Toileting and incontinence care
Feeding and special diet
Comfort Keepers services could be a natural fit for members in the “88” Plan as they routinely work with Alzheimer’s and dementia clients. Comfort Keepers has developed specialized training for its caregivers, referred to as Comfort Keepers®, who care for this client population. Comfort Keepers’ caregivers are screened and trained to provide quality care and engage clients as active participants in their own care. All Comfort Keepers’ employees are insured, bonded, and covered by workers’ compensation. Members dealing with joint replacement or any other mobility challenges may also find that Comfort Keepers services have a positive impact on their daily lives.
As a special for NFLA, Comfort Keepers will offer a 5% discount off the published list price for care and personal care services for NFLA members and their families.
